John Kerry to Headline WTTC Global Summit in Perth
The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has announced that the 68th U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, will headline its upcoming Global Summit. The event is scheduled to take place from October 8th to 10th in Perth, Western Australia.
Secretary Kerry, renowned for his leadership in international diplomacy and climate action, brings a wealth of experience to the summit. He played a pivotal role in nuclear non-proliferation efforts and was instrumental in the U.S. signing the historic Paris Agreement on climate change in 2015. Recently, Kerry served as the first Special Presidential Envoy for Climate and was a key member of the National Security Council focused solely on climate issues.
A distinguished Vietnam War veteran, Kerry’s decorated military service includes awards such as the Silver Star, Bronze Star with Combat V, and three Purple Hearts. Beyond his diplomatic and military achievements, Kerry is a best-selling author and was honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2024 for his lifelong commitment to public service.

In addition to Secretary Kerry, Australian conservationist and television personality Robert Irwin will also address the audience. Known for his advocacy for wildlife conservation, Irwin’s participation underscores the summit's commitment to environmental stewardship and biodiversity preservation.
