US President Donald Trump issued a direct and forceful warning to Iran on Wednesday, stating that “time is running out” and that any future US military strike would be far worse if Tehran refuses to negotiate a new agreement banning nuclear weapons.

In a post on social media, Trump urged Iran to “quickly come to the table” and reach what he described as a “fair and equitable deal,” stressing that the United States will not tolerate a nuclear-armed Iran. “Time is running out — it is truly of the essence,” Trump wrote, recalling that his previous warning was followed by a large-scale military operation.

The US president also confirmed that a “massive armada” is heading toward the region, led by the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, and warned that Washington is “ready, willing, and able” to act swiftly and decisively if diplomacy fails.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi denied having recent contact with US special envoy Steve Witkoff and rejected negotiations under pressure. “Talks cannot take place alongside threats,” he said, while acknowledging that intermediaries are holding indirect consultations.

Meanwhile, Turkey called on Washington to resume nuclear talks and avoid further military escalation in the Middle East. Despite these appeals, Trump’s rhetoric has once again pushed the region toward a high-risk geopolitical standoff, with the threat of direct US military action looming over Tehran.
