New York City is ready to welcome the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and thousands of soccer fans from around the globe with an extensive lineup of events, fan experiences, cultural activities and transportation enhancements across all five boroughs.
The tournament's final match will take place on July 19 at MetLife Stadium, which will also host several group-stage and knockout-round matches. Among the most anticipated games are Brazil vs. Morocco, France vs. Senegal, Ecuador vs. Germany and Panama vs. England.
To celebrate the world's biggest sporting event, New York City Tourism + Conventions has launched a citywide program featuring fan zones, live match screenings, cultural experiences, neighborhood discovery initiatives and special promotions for visitors and residents alike.
One of the tournament's main hubs will be the Rockefeller Center, which will host an official fan village, live match broadcasts and the FIFA Museum, showcasing an interactive exhibition dedicated to the history of the FIFA World Cup.
The celebration will extend well beyond soccer. Major cultural institutions, including the American Museum of Natural History, the Solomon R. Food and beverage experiences will also play a key role, with the "Five Borough Winners Special" offering special dining promotions at hundreds of bars and restaurants throughout the city, while many venues will broadcast matches live during the competition.
City and regional authorities have also announced expanded ferry services, pedestrian and cycling improvements, and dedicated transportation options to the stadium, ensuring smooth access for the millions of visitors expected during the tournament.
