TOURISE Awards 2025: New York, Tokyo, Ancash and Paris shine as global tourism leaders
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – November 11, 2025 – During the TOURISE Summit 2025, the inaugural TOURISE Awards were announced, recognizing destinations that redefine exploration, hospitality, and cultural connection for the modern traveler, setting new benchmarks for innovation and excellence.
Tokyo, Japan, emerged as the big winner, earning the title of Best Overall Destination, along with awards for Best Food & Culinary Destination and Best Entertainment Destination, confirming its status as a global hub of innovation, energy, and unforgettable experiences.
Individual category winners included:
- Best Arts & Culture Destination: New York, USA
- Best Adventure Destination: Ancash, Peru
- Best Food & Culinary Destination: Tokyo, Japan
- Best Shopping Destination: Paris, France
- Best Entertainment Destination: Tokyo, Japan
The winners were selected by an independent jury composed of global leaders in tourism, gastronomy, fashion, arts, and entertainment, including former executives of Forbes Travel Guide, Michelin Guides, Tate Modern, Condé Nast, and the British Fashion Council.
Julie Coker, President & CEO of NYC Tourism + Conventions, traveled to Riyadh to represent New York City at TOURISE, where she took part in prominent panels, was interviewed by ABC MUNDIAL, and received an award during the event’s ceremony.
The awards gala was held at the Riyadh Ritz-Carlton, featuring a culinary journey curated by chef Nawal Alkhalawi and a live performance by international vocalist Loren Allred, with fashion by Saudi designer Mashael Al Faris and jewelry by APOA. The evening celebrated global hospitality and cultural exchange, central to the TOURISE vision.
His Excellency Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Minister of Tourism of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the TOURISE Board, stated: “Tonight’s winners are not just places on a map, they are living inspirations that unite cultures and spark imaginations.
