Rome, Italy. The Eternal City will shine in the global spotlight this September as it hosts the 25th edition of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) Global Summit, the most influential gathering in the Travel & Tourism industry. The event will take place from 28-30 September at the Auditorium Parco della Musica.

This landmark Summit will bring together government ministers, city mayors, CEOs, and creative leaders from Italy and across the world. It is hosted in partnership with the Italian Ministry of Tourism, ENIT, the City of Rome, and the Lazio Region.

“Italy represents everything the world loves about travel — beauty, quality, culture and cuisine,” said Julia Simpson, WTTC President & CEO. “Rome is the perfect stage to think boldly, act collaboratively and shape a decade of growth built on excellence.”

Shaping the Future of Global Tourism

The 2025 Global Summit will explore key issues such as artificial intelligence, sustainable aviation, cultural preservation, and tourism innovation. As a leader in cruising, hospitality, fashion, and wellness, Italy will play a major role in redefining the future of travel.

The Summit will also mark a significant leadership transition, as WTTC Chair Greg O’Hara, Founder of Certares, hands over the role to Manfredi Lefebvre, Chairman of Heritage Group and co-chair of Abercrombie & Kent.

“As we meet in the heart of Italy, we not only celebrate the resilience of our sector but also seize the chance to innovate and inspire a sustainable future,” said Lefebvre, WTTC Chair-Elect.

Grande Bellezza as Global Inspiration

From international sports events like the Ryder Cup and America’s Cup, to its thriving blue economy and iconic luxury experiences, Italy continues to capture the world’s imagination.

For Tourism Minister Daniela Santanchè, Italy is a land of “beauty everywhere.” The WTTC Global Summit 2025 will honor that legacy while forging new paths for global tourism rooted in excellence, sustainability, and culture.
