Visit Lauderdale has triumphantly concluded a three-day promotional tour across Medellín, Barranquilla, and Bogotá. This ambitious initiative saw participation from over 104 agents, wholesalers, and tourism professionals, underscoring Fort Lauderdale as a dream destination for Colombian travelers.

Led by Caitlan Etchevers, Sales, Marketing & Business Development, Visit Lauderdale embarked on this significant promotional tour in Colombia. Over the span of two days, the mission covered Barranquilla, Medellín, and Bogotá, leveraging the latest U.S. Travel and Brand USA report that identifies the U.S. as a key potential destination for international visitors from Colombia.

Supported by AVIAREPS Colombia and Luis Miguel Bustamante Echeverry, Fort Lauderdale's sales mission aims to further strengthen the ties between Colombia and this vibrant U.S. destination. Fort Lauderdale offers an array of unforgettable experiences under the sun, making it a dream destination for Colombian visitors.

As one of the main international markets for travel to the U.S., the relationship between Colombia and Fort Lauderdale continues to grow stronger. There are currently more than seventy direct flights each week between Colombia and Fort Lauderdale, facilitating robust tourist and cultural exchange. "We are thrilled to engage with travel buyers and share the latest news about our vibrant destination," said Etchevers. Courtyard Fort and Spirit Airlines joined the mission, with Spirit Airlines offering ultra-low fares starting at $56 for flights between Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Medellín (MDE).

Under the "Everyone Under the Sun" campaign, Fort Lauderdale promotes itself as a welcoming destination for all types of visitors. This initiative aims to highlight the cultural diversity that defines Fort Lauderdale.
