The Honorable Edmund Bartlett was re-sworn in as Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism, reaffirming his leadership in one of the country’s most important economic sectors.

During today’s swearing-in ceremony for Cabinet ministers at King’s House, Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness officially commenced his third term and reappointed the Honorable Edmund Bartlett as Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism.

“I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to continue serving in this capacity,” Bartlett said. “Tourism is one of Jamaica’s greatest assets and the engine of our economy. I am eager to continue building on the strong foundation we have already established to further expand our industry, empower our people, and showcase Brand Jamaica to the world.”

Prime Minister Holness reminded his ministers that they will be evaluated based on concrete targets and urged them to serve with humility, teamwork, and transparency, while also warning against the “poison of corruption.”

Bartlett’s return to the Ministry of Tourism has been warmly received by both local and international tourism sectors. Known for his resilience and commitment to global tourism development, Bartlett has been a key voice in positioning Jamaica as a leading destination and strengthening its brand worldwide.

The new Cabinet has increased by one member compared to the previous one, reflecting the re-election and renewed mandate of the Holness government.
