Over 310 Presidents and CEOs of the World’s Leading Tourism Companies Gather in Rome for the 25th WTTC Summit
Rome, Italy – The Italian capital is set to host the 25th edition of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) Global Summit from September 28 to 30 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica. After six years, the event returns to Europe, bringing together over 310 presidents and CEOs from the world’s most influential tourism companies.
Under the theme “La Grande Bellezza del Viaggio” —The Great Beauty of Travel— the Summit will convene top executives, government leaders, and experts in innovation and sustainability to discuss digitalization, artificial intelligence, sector resilience, and tourism as a driver of global economic development.
Gloria Guevara, Interim CEO of WTTC, highlighted the significance of the gathering: “This Summit marks a decisive moment; tourism is becoming a central pillar of the global economy.” The opening ceremony will feature a special performance by renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, emphasizing the Summit’s international reach.
Confirmed speakers include leaders from Marriott International, Royal Caribbean Cruises, American Express Travel, Accor, MSC Group, Trip.com Group, Microsoft, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Viking Cruises, among others. Cultural and religious representatives, including Archbishop Rino Fisichella and Estense Gallery Director Alessandra Necci, will also participate.
Italian Tourism Minister Daniela Santanchè stressed the strategic importance of hosting the Summit: “We are proud to host the WTTC Global Summit, a unique opportunity to attract investment and discuss policies that promote more competitive and sustainable tourism.” Ivana Jelinic, CEO of ENIT, highlighted the role of sustainability and digitalization in meeting the expectations of new generations.
With representatives from over 65 countries, the WTTC Summit reaffirms its position as the world’s leading forum for tourism and travel, driving innovation, collaboration, and human connection.
