CHTA Opens Registration for CHIEF 2025 in Barbados
Caribbean Hospitality Industry Exchange Forum to focus on innovation, sustainability, and people-first leadership
The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) has officially opened registration for the Caribbean Hospitality Industry Exchange Forum (CHIEF) 2025, set to take place from November 16–18 at the Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord's Castle All-Inclusive Resort. Early-bird rates are available until August 31.
Recognized as one of the Caribbean’s leading gatherings for hospitality leaders, CHIEF 2025 will explore the theme "Innovating Caribbean Tourism for a Disrupted World: Adapting with Purpose, Leading with People, Planning for Permanence." The program will feature 24 sessions across six focus areas:
- Sales & Marketing – Maximizing bookings and adapting to evolving traveler behaviors
- Technology – Harnessing AI, automation, and digital tools to improve service and operations
- Sustainability – Implementing cost-saving, eco-friendly solutions and responsible sourcing
- People-First Leadership – Attracting and retaining talent, leading multigenerational teams
- Linkages – Strengthening local supply chains and reimagining Caribbean tourism from within
- Operations Excellence – Boosting efficiency and guest satisfaction
“From AI to sustainability, workforce to marketing, this year’s CHIEF offers fresh, relevant, and implementable ideas for every corner of the hospitality business,” said Patricia Affonso-Dass, CHIEF Program Planning Chair.
The event will also feature:
- Exchange Hub – A networking space for showcasing products, services, and partnerships
- CHIEF Talks – TED-style presentations from regional innovators and thought leaders
- Taste of the Caribbean – Culinary competitions and cultural showcases celebrating the region’s flavors and talent
