A few days away from welcoming 2024, the iconic One Times Square in New York is gearing up to illuminate the sky with the installation of the number "4" in anticipation of the New Year's Eve celebration in Times Square. Every year, the world turns its attention to the dazzling lights and vibrant energy of Times Square as the clock approaches midnight on December 31.

In a meticulous operation, the numeral "4" is placed on One Times Square in the early morning hours and transported to the 22nd floor by elevator, completing the final part of its journey using a winch to reach the rooftop. There, it is positioned alongside the numerals "2-0-2" to form "2024." The entire installation is beneath the iconic Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball and will light up precisely as the ball descends to the base of the flagpole at midnight on December 31.

The numeral "4" is composed of 134 bulbs and stands at a height of 7 feet. In total, the numerals feature 588 energy-efficient LED bulbs. Anticipation is palpable, and New Year's Eve on the symbolic heart of New York City has become a global tradition that transcends mere celebration.
