Orlando Sets New Tourism Record with 76.7 Million Visitors in 2025
Orlando further strengthened its position as the most visited destination in the United States after welcoming a record-breaking 76.7 million visitors in 2025, representing a 1.8% increase compared to the previous year.
The announcement was made by Visit Orlando during its annual Travel & Tourism Event held at the Orange County Convention Center as part of National Travel and Tourism Week.
“Beyond the numbers are the experiences, memories and emotional connections that continue bringing travelers back to Orlando year after year,” said Casandra Matej.
Domestic visitation remained the primary growth driver, reaching 70.3 million visitors, while overnight stays represented 70% of all domestic travelers. Orlando’s meetings and conventions segment also posted strong growth, reinforcing the destination’s leadership in the U.S. events industry.
Internationally, Canada remained Orlando’s top overseas market, followed by United Kingdom, Brazil, Mexico and Colombia. Mexico, Colombia and Japan also reached record visitor numbers in 2025.
One of the major announcements during the event was a new collaboration between Visit Orlando and Tripadvisor. Adam Ochman revealed the launch of “Common Ground,” a new YouTube series set to premiere later this summer.
The celebration also featured a special performance by Orlando-born Broadway star Michael James Scott, who debuted his new song “Brighter,” inspired by his hometown.
In sports tourism news, Orlando was selected as a host city for an international Olympic multisport qualifier connected to the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics. The announcement was made by Jason Siegel alongside Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Casandra Matej.
With sustained tourism growth, expanding international connectivity and major developments in entertainment and sports, Orlando continues to strengthen its global appeal as one of the world’s leading travel destinations.
