The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) has released the official program for the 2026 Caribbean Hospitality Industry and Exchange Forum (CHIEF), the region's premier professional development event for hospitality leaders. Set to take place November 16-18 at the Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lords Castle All-Inclusive Resort, the forum will bring together tourism executives to exchange practical strategies and peer-to-peer insights aimed at strengthening business performance ahead of the next decade.

This year's theme, "Caribbean Tourism 2030: Resilient. Regenerative. Ready.," organizes the program around six core pillars: technology and artificial intelligence, talent and workforce development, sustainability and climate risk management, new business models and revenue streams, operational management, and sales and marketing strategy.

Among the featured sessions is a discussion on artificial intelligence's growing role in hospitality, designed to help executives understand how the technology is reshaping competition, operations and growth ahead of 2030. Another key panel will focus on crisis preparedness, offering practical tools for building continuity plans that protect staff and operations in the face of extreme weather, cyberattacks or health emergencies.

The agenda will also examine where the region's next wave of tourism demand is likely to come from, analyzing emerging source markets and global travel trends expected to shape competitiveness in the coming years. A separate session will explore how hospitality businesses can nurture entrepreneurship among their workforce, supporting the next generation of Caribbean tourism innovators. Rounding out the program, another panel will address how operators can capture high-value travelers through wellness, adventure and cultural tourism experiences, reflecting shifting visitor preferences across international markets.

CHIEF has become the Caribbean hospitality sector's leading platform for professional exchange, drawing executives, managers and entrepreneurs from across the region each year to discuss the future of the tourism business. Registration is now open through the event's official website, where attendees can also access the full three-day schedule of sessions and panels.

Looking ahead to 2030, the forum aims to equip the Caribbean tourism industry with concrete tools to navigate the challenges of the next decade, from technological disruption to climate adaptation, positioning the region as a competitive, sustainable and future-ready destination.
