Norwegian Cruise Line Launches Its First-Ever "Sale Season" With 50% Off All Cruises
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announced the launch of its first-ever "Sale Season," a landmark promotion for the company offering 50% off all cruises, plus free prepaid gratuities on select sailings. The offer, running now through July 20, 2026, is designed for guests booking last-minute summer getaways, unforgettable holiday-season vacations, or getting a head start on 2027 travel plans.
According to the cruise line, guests can unlock additional savings starting at $280 on a standard seven-night sailing for two, with the promotion stackable with NCL's Free at Sea™ program, which includes perks like unlimited open bar, specialty dining, shore excursion credits and Wi-Fi. "Our first-ever Sale Season brings the best savings opportunity of the season, giving our guests even more reasons to book their next vacation with us," said Marc Kazlauskas, President of Norwegian Cruise Line, highlighting the combination of destinations, onboard experiences and flexibility that define the brand.
The promotion spans NCL's entire fleet and destination portfolio, from the Caribbean and Bahamas to Alaska, the Mediterranean and the Mexican Riviera. In the Caribbean, travelers can set sail from ports including Miami, Port Canaveral, Galveston, New York City, New Orleans and Philadelphia, aboard next-generation ships like Norwegian Aqua, Norwegian Luna, and the upcoming Norwegian Aura, debuting in June 2027. Standout features include the Aqua Slidecoaster — the industry's first hybrid roller coaster and water slide — and at-sea go-kart racing aboard Norwegian Viva.
One of the season's biggest highlights is Great Stirrup Cay, NCL's private island in the Bahamas, which will unveil the Great Tides Waterpark on September 4, 2026, featuring 19 thrilling slides, the industry's first island cliff jumps, and a nearly 800-foot lazy river. The island already offers the Great Life Lagoon, the kids' splash area Splash Harbor, and the adults-only Vibe Shore Club, rounding out the experience for every type of traveler.
The company also offers Mexican Riviera sailings aboard Norwegian Encore, with stops in Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta from Los Angeles, along with Alaska cruises departing Seattle that visit Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway. In Europe, NCL will deploy 12 ships per season through 2027, sailing from Barcelona, Rome, Venice, Athens, Lisbon and London, including a Mediterranean itinerary aboard Norwegian Epic connecting Spain, France and Italy.
With this Sale Season, Norwegian Cruise Line aims to position itself as one of the most compelling booking options on the market before the promotion ends. Travelers interested in learning more can contact a travel professional, call 888-NCL-CRUISE (625-2784), or visit www.ncl.com.
