Saint-Martin Strengthens Air Connectivity with Europe Through the Return of Air Caraïbes’ Paris Route
Connectivity between Europe and Saint-Martin is being strengthened with the official announcement of the return of the Paris–Sint Maarten route operated by Air Caraïbes. The resumption of flights is scheduled for October 15, 2026, using a new-generation aircraft, representing a key step forward for the tourism and economic development of the region.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at Princess Juliana International Airport, attended by Priscillia Wachter and Ricardo Bethel, who highlighted the strategic importance of this air connection in strengthening European visitor arrivals and boosting the local economy.
The route had originally resumed operations on December 12, 2025, with an Airbus A330-200 and achieved positive results, recording an average load factor between 65% and 70%, confirming strong interest from the European market in the Caribbean destination.
For the 2026 winter season, Air Caraïbes will introduce the modern Airbus A350-900, offering enhanced comfort and operational efficiency. The aircraft will feature 18 fully flat Business Class seats, 45 Premium Economy seats, and a total capacity of 389 passengers, limited to 300 passengers departing from Sint Maarten.
Among the advantages of the new service are a reduction in flight time of between 24 and 30 minutes, 25% lower fuel consumption per passenger, and a significant improvement in cabin comfort. The operation will include two weekly frequencies, on Mondays and Thursdays, departing Paris-Orly at 11:45 a.m. and arriving in Sint Maarten at 3:15 p.m.
Regional connectivity will also be strengthened through partnerships with Winair and St. Barth Commuter, facilitating connections to neighboring destinations such as Saint Barthélemy.
With fares starting at €350 one way, the service is positioned as a strategic tool to further consolidate Saint-Martin as one of the Caribbean’s most attractive destinations for the European market.
