Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Downtown at IPW 2026
As part of IPW 2026 in Fort Lauderdale, Jason Alexander presented the proposal of Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Downtown, highlighting the city’s growth as one of the most dynamic urban destinations in South Florida.
During his participation at the Visit Lauderdale booth, Alexander emphasized that Fort Lauderdale is undergoing a tourism transformation driven by sports, entertainment, gastronomy, and an increasingly vibrant nightlife scene.
“We have an amazing entertainment offering around us, sports programs like the Stanley Cup champions, the Florida Panthers, and an incredible nightlife,” the executive said during the presentation to international media and tourism operators.
The reference to the Florida Panthers reflects the major sporting momentum currently experienced by the region, after the team established itself as one of the strongest franchises in the NHL and boosted the international profile of the Greater Fort Lauderdale area.
Alexander also highlighted the importance of IPW 2026 taking place in Fort Lauderdale, allowing the destination to showcase its evolution and diversity of experiences to the world.
“We love having IPW here, showing everything Fort Lauderdale has to offer the world,” he said.
Located in the heart of downtown, Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Downtown is strategically situated near neighborhoods such as Flagler Village, Las Olas Boulevard, and the city’s main cultural and dining districts. The hotel features a rooftop pool, event spaces, a 24-hour fitness center, and dining concepts such as Quantum Kitchen and The Easton Rooftop Pool & Lounge.
The property is part of the urban growth transforming downtown Fort Lauderdale, a city seeking to position itself not only as a beach destination but also as a hub for urban tourism, sporting events, and year-round entertainment.
The combination of beaches, professional sports, nightlife, and new hotel developments is transforming Greater Fort Lauderdale into one of the most competitive tourism regions in the United States.
