The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) has officially announced the launch of the Caribbean Travel Forum 2026, a reimagined, action-oriented working session designed to strengthen commercial alignment across the region’s tourism and hospitality sector.

The Forum will take place on May 12, 2026, at the Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa, just ahead of the opening of the Caribbean Travel Marketplace, one of the region’s most important travel trade gatherings.

A shift toward action and results

Departing from traditional conference formats, the 2026 Forum introduces a facilitated working session model, focused on delivering concrete outcomes rather than broad discussions.

“The Caribbean Travel Forum is evolving to better reflect the realities of our industry,” said Sanovnik Destang, President of CHTA. “This initiative creates a space for meaningful dialogue around the commercial challenges impacting Caribbean tourism, with the goal of identifying practical solutions and strengthening regional alignment.”

Data-driven strategy and collaboration

The three-hour session will bring together a curated group of stakeholders from across the tourism ecosystem, including:

  • Hotel owners and general managers
  • Sales, marketing, and revenue management leaders
  • Tourism board officials
  • Airlines and tour operators
  • Industry solution providers

Participants will engage in structured discussions supported by a Commercial Intelligence Briefing, with insights aimed at addressing the evolving market dynamics of Caribbean tourism.

The outcomes will be consolidated into a Caribbean Hospitality & Tourism Commercial Insights & Roadmap, outlining key priorities, strategic recommendations, and opportunities for collaboration across the region.

Strategic importance for the Caribbean

The Forum underscores a broader shift within the Caribbean tourism industry toward data-informed decision-making, regional cooperation, and commercial resilience, particularly in a competitive global travel environment.

With participation open to both CHTA members and non-members, registration begins on April 17, 2026, with limited availability due to the curated nature of the event.
