St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands — The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Education Foundation (CHTAEF), in partnership with the St. Croix Hotel & Tourism Association (SCHTA), proudly announced the successful completion of its Caribbean Supercharged Service and Leadership Training Series, empowering 165 hospitality professionals through one-day workshops across the island.
For the second consecutive year, the two organizations joined forces to promote service excellence, leadership, and employee empowerment within St. Croix’s hospitality sector.
The training series focused on Customer Service, Housekeeping, and Leadership, featuring sessions such as Standards Implementation & Management, Find Your Service Vibe!, Circular Housekeeping, Happy Housekeepers – Eco-Smart, Safety-Strong, and Heartfelt Player Care. Participants from hotels, resorts, and tourism service providers gained valuable tools to enhance guest experiences.
“Our members reported tangible uplifts in service, confidence and consistency,” said Suzanne Rosbach, President of the St. Croix Hotel & Tourism Association. “We are proud to once again invest in professional development, and we thank our partners who made this possible.”
The initiative was supported by Interval International, a long-time CHTA Education Foundation partner, along with contributions from SCHTA members such as The Buccaneer Beach & Golf Resort, Company House Hotel, Caravelle Hotel & Casino, and King Christian Hotel.
Karolin Troubetzkoy, Chair of the CHTA Education Foundation, emphasized the enthusiasm of participants:
“It has been our honor to partner again with SCHTA and create Caribbean Supercharged positivity across properties. Seeing so many leaders embrace innovation, learning, and sustainability was inspiring.”
Representing Interval International, Neil Kolton, Assistant Vice President – Client Sales, Caribbean & South East, congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to apply their new skills. Each participant also received a Dream Vacation Week redeemable at Interval partner properties worldwide.
Jennifer Matarangas-King, Commissioner Nominee for Tourism, congratulated the graduates and highlighted the essential role of human capital:
“In a community where more than 70% of our GDP is tied to tourism, your dedication to professional growth reflects your commitment to our collective success. This collaboration strengthens our shared goal of building a world-class visitor experience that starts with our people.”
The CHTA Education Foundation’s continued collaboration with SCHTA reaffirms its mission to foster professional growth, sustainability, and service excellence throughout the Caribbean hospitality industry.
