Zelensky  vows to ‘punish atrocities’ as family dies trying to evacuate Irpin.
Putin calls on Ukraine to surrender.

Fighting stopped about 200,000 people from evacuating the besieged Ukrainian city of Mariupol for a second day in a row on Sunday, as Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed to press ahead with his invasion unless Kyiv surrendered.

At least three people - a mother and two children - have been killed in mortar fire as residents fled the town of Irpin near Kyiv.

People have been fleeing across a destroyed bridge that was blown up by Ukrainian forces to prevent a Russian advance on the capital.

Zelensky:  'We will punish everyone who committed atrocities'

In an address this evening, Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky  said, “We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will punish everyone who committed atrocities in this war.”

Russia's military action will not stop until Moscow's demands are met, Vladimir Putin says.
