Florence is set to host the third edition of the Italy Ambassador Awards on November 28, 2024. This prestigious event celebrates the talent of content creators, influencers, and bloggers who highlight the wonders of Italy through their social media platforms. The gala will take place during BTO (Be Travel Onlife), a premier event focused on innovation and digital tourism.

Designed to honor excellence and professionalism, the awards feature categories such as travel, gastronomy, fashion, beauty, spa, and luxury lifestyle. To qualify, participants must have at least 2,000 followers on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or Facebook and dedicate 60% of their content to Italy. Applications closed on August 31, and semifinalists will attend a gala dinner in the historic city of Florence.

The Jury and Its Mission

The panel of judges includes prominent figures like Antonio De Matteis, CEO of Kiton Group; Roberta Garibaldi, president of the Italian Association of Food and Wine Tourism; and Sara Magro, editor of The Travel News. Their mission is to recognize creativity, positive influence, and the dedication of participants in promoting "Made in Italy."

Key selection criteria include the authenticity of followers, aesthetic quality of content, and its impact on global perceptions of Italy. Judges will also assess posting regularity and the ability to collaborate with brands and other creators.

Focus on Sustainability

The 2024 edition emphasizes sustainability as a core value. From promoting environmentally friendly practices to encouraging conscious eating, the awards aim to inspire responsibility among creators and their audiences.

This year, Austria has been designated as the "Friend Country," following Spain and Poland in previous editions. This category celebrates international collaboration and cultural exchange, offering travel prizes to featured destinations.

Founder’s Vision

Svetlana Trushnikova, the award's founder, highlighted the initiative's role in building a community of creators aware of their responsibility to preserve Italy's beauty and culture. “These awards not only celebrate creativity but also foster education and respect for the environment and people,” she stated.

With past editions reaching over 18 million viewers, the Italy Ambassador Awards have become a benchmark for those dedicated to showcasing the charm of Italy to a global audience.
