Chicago, USA – During its press conference at IPW 2025, the Utah Office of Tourism presented international media with a bold vision positioning the state as a world-class travel destination. From the launch of a new direct flight between Salt Lake City and Incheon, South Korea, to strengthened Indigenous tourism initiatives and its future role as host of the 2034 Winter Olympics, Utah made it clear that accessibility, cultural diversity, and one-of-a-kind experiences are at the heart of its tourism strategy.

Among the highlights was the unveiling of the Utah Film Trail, a scenic and cultural route celebrating 100 years of filmmaking in the state. The trail features on-location markers from iconic productions like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Chosen, and High School Musical.

Officials also spotlighted the transformative expansion of Salt Lake City International Airport, aimed at accommodating a growing number of international travelers, and the upcoming Canyon Spirit—a new luxury train experience connecting Denver to Utah through breathtaking landscapes.

Louis Williams, an Indigenous tour operator with Ancient Wayves, joined the presentation and reflected on the importance of centering Native voices in tourism development. With its national parks, world-renowned ski resorts, and rich cultural and spiritual heritage, Utah is emerging as a destination that honors its past, celebrates its present, and looks to the future with strategic vision.
