At the IPW Los Angeles 2024, Christine Valls, Sales Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at United Airlines, offered an interview to the ABC MUNDIAL team at the company's booth, where she highlighted the airline's latest advancements and plans for the region.

"We are here trying to promote and sell destinations. Obviously, we move passengers from one market to another, but what we want is to create connections between different countries and the United States so that people travel with us," Valls expressed.

Among the announcements, Valls emphasized the commencement of flights from Medellin, Colombia, in October, coinciding with the celebration of United's 30-year presence in Colombia. Additionally, she highlighted the recent opening of flights from Guyana to Houston, a market that has been well-received, especially in the corporate segment.

Regarding Argentina, Valls announced the addition of a second daily flight from that country to Houston, recognizing the growth potential of this market. "We are promoting our destination and our product, which continues to improve every day," she added.

Economy Plus:

One of United Airlines' strong points is its commitment to passenger comfort. Valls highlighted the Economy Plus program as an option to provide a superior travel experience, offering more space and amenities without the additional cost of business class.

"Over the years, we have seen an increase in passengers willing to pay a little more for a better product," Valls noted, underscoring the success of this strategy.

Regarding the airline's operations, Valls mentioned the "hub-and-spoke" model they employ in several markets, highlighting Houston as the main hub for Latin America, connecting 52 destinations in the region. Additionally, she emphasized the development of Houston as a gastronomic and sports center, which contributes to attracting more passengers and strengthening connections.

United App:

United's mobile application was also highlighted by Valls, who emphasized the efficiencies it offers to passengers, from seat selection to baggage tracking. "We are very proud to continue improving our app. It's impressive to be able to make changes without having to wait in line at the counters," she affirmed.

The interview with Christine Valls showcased United Airlines' commitment to efficiency and continuous improvement of its services, as well as the interest of attendees at IPW Los Angeles 2024 in staying updated on the airline's latest developments.
