The main bet of San Antonio, which expects to receive at least 4,000 participants in the next edition of the IPW, are the cultural itineraries, being one of the oldest destinations in the US, in addition to gastronomy. San Antonio receives about 41 million annual visitors and now expects to increase the volume of international tourists.

San Antonio, Texas will host the IPW for the first time in its history, May 20-24, 2023.

One of the destination's strengths, and heavily emphasized during the destination's presentation as host during IPW 2022 in Orlando, is the restoration of the Alamo region, one of the most well-known historic sites in the region.

Annually, the city receives around 41 million visitors, obviously driven by the movement of domestic American tourism, and now its eyes are on the international market, which will have an even greater focus with the IPW.

“Tourism and hospitality is the third largest industry in our country and is appreciated and understood in every facet of San Antonio. The entire city will be ready for you in 11 months,” said Marc Anderson, president and CEO of Visit San Antonio.

San Antonio, land of Manu Ginobili. How do you live that Ginobili decided to stay in San Antonio?
"We live it with pride, Manu Gibobili is a Spurs for ever and will continue to be a legend that you see on the street as another San Antonio, because he is part of the San Antonio community and we are all proud of that connection that Manu has made with us and Latin America", tells us one of the representatives of Visit San Antonio.

We also chatted with Ray Martinez of the Visit San Antonio team. "In San Antonio there are several things you can do. And you have several attractions that are in the center but you can also enjoy Natural Bridge Caverns. 20 minutes from downtown San Antonio are these caverns that are the largest in the State of Texas .

Even as the seventh largest city in the United States welcoming more than 41 million visitors a year, delegates will find the downtown area intimate and walkable, all flowing from the lifeline of the San Antonio River. The Rive Walk extends 20 feet below street level and records 15 miles of glittering hotels, shops, museums, quiet parks and public art. This treasure stretches south along the Spanish Colonial Missions, which along with the Alamo, are the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Texas.

“San Antonio is ready to welcome everyone in 2023 and plans are underway for a powerfully memorable and productive IPW and your experience in San Antonio will be unparalleled,” said Marc Anderson, President and CEO of Visit San Antonio. “One thing we know for sure is that you will leave San Antonio with our city in your heart, because it is the real and true warmth and hospitality of the people of San Antonio that will be with you forever. We can't wait to welcome you next year."

San Antonio will host an open night River Walk parade in honor of the delegates as guests dine riverside and on closing night prepare "Spirit of Texas." Music, food, entertainment and more will showcase the great state of Texas, and everyone will get an up-close look at the progress of the important Alamo revitalization project.
