"We are delighted that you are visiting us because Orlando is one of those places where you can have breakfast with Mickey Mouse, then do a spell in the World of Harry Potter and from there you can go hug a penguin at SeaWorld," Leo Salazar kindly tells us. Visit Orlando Public Relations Manager. And he continues: "You can see rockets taking off any day of the week and also fireworks every night in the city of Orlando. So Orlando is a destination that has everything and many other combinations of things you can do."

Visit Orlando was the main host at IPW 2022 and had a strong presence in the event's Media Marketplace. The city welcomed all the participants of the most important tourism fair in the USA.

Leo Salazar tells us that "Orlando is renewing itself this year as always. Disney is turning 50, Universal has new attractions, the same as Seaworld, but the most important thing is that the city of Orlando continues to grow."

Buyers, travel agents, tourism companies and the world press awaited this meeting with expectation. Beyond regular updates to the destination, speaking face-to-face with Visit Orlando representatives and visiting the new attractions was essential to get a sense of the renewal in the city.

"What is important about the city of Orlando is that every time you come, whether you came 20 years ago or last week, you will find something new, but you will also find your traditional games that you liked in the past," explains Leo Salazar.

"We have attractions outside the parks like Icon Park where you can go to the Museum of Illusions which is a new attraction where you see different things that seem like magic."

"You can also visit Gatorland where you can zip line over the gators when you're in Orlando, but also a lot of other things that we have in Orlando neighborhoods that are starting to grow."

Orlando is beginning to grow, for example in the Downtown where you can find entertainment, you can find new gastronomy, comedies and all kinds of entertainment, as well as in many neighborhoods called Mills 50, Winter Park and many others.

"We have malls for everyone and as you should know we have two Premium Outlets that have more than 550 stores of everything you want to look for and you can buy perfumery, household items and everything you need. But in addition to that we have The Mall at Millenia, which is our luxury Mall, where you can find the latest fashions that are coming out in the market for people who can spend that money and look for the best quality things: nightclubs, vintage clothes and more."

Gastronomy
Orlando is now being recognized for being a world gastronomic hub. There are now more than 6,000 restaurants in the city from all over the world. Here it was always traditional to eat pizza, hot dogs and the famous turkey leg, but today we have people opening restaurants and so you can find food from anywhere in the world. From India, Greece, Argentina, Brazil and wherever, but more importantly, we are bringing the most important personalities of the gastronomic world who are opening restaurants.
 

Now they have more options and especially for every pocket and for the whole family. Not only in the parks but also outside the parks where you can stay in hotels or vacation homes or if you need transportation, there is Uber service.

"Orlando has a privileged location. We are 20 minutes from the airport to your hotel, 20 minutes from the hotel to the parks, 20 minutes from one park to another, 20 minutes to the outlets. So it is very easy to get around in this city, where there are lots to do and lots to see.
