Bávaro Adventure Park and Royal Holiday bring a day of hope to girls and young women in Punta Cana
In Punta Cana, a single day can turn into a lifelong memory. That was the experience of 23 girls and teenagers from Casa de Esperanza, who, thanks to Bávaro Adventure Park and the Vacaciones para Todos Movement of the Fundación Royal Holiday, enjoyed an exciting day tour at the park.
For these girls and young women who have faced violence and abandonment, the experience was more than just fun—it was an opportunity to feel safe, supported, and free. Between zip lines and hanging bridges, they discovered new ways to play, take risks, and connect. The journey through the Sacred River, surrounded by nature, became a moment of calm and wonder.
“I loved everything about this experience, I feel happier,” shared one of the Casa de Esperanza beneficiaries.
Every laugh, every splash, and every step inside the park added a spark of joy to their stories. At the end of the day, they returned with more than just excitement and tiredness—they carried with them a meaningful memory that will last in their hearts.
“The goal of this activity is to promote a message of inclusion and resilience among the girls so that in the future they can become successful women,” said Héctor Ureña.
A natural environment with purpose
Bávaro Adventure Park is an outdoor adventure and theme park developed in a natural setting, inviting visitors to connect with nature, wildlife, and Dominican culture in an environmentally sustainable environment.
The park features diverse flora and fauna, along with stunning landscapes characterized by forests, shrublands, and tropical grasslands, offering an immersive experience in the region’s biodiversity.
A commitment to social impact
Casa de Esperanza is a nonprofit organization that provides shelter for girls in vulnerable situations due to orphanhood and abandonment. It was founded in 2014 by pastors Pascual Borrell and Sugey Minaya de Borrell, with the support of missionaries and Iglesia Ciudad de Dios Bávaro es de Cristo.
Voices that inspire
“After this trip, I feel more confident,” shared one of the girls.
“I loved the cave and taking pictures there with my friend,” said Alisha, a young participant.
“I really enjoyed the zip line,” added Marie, another beneficiary.
This initiative highlights the positive impact of tourism when combined with social responsibility, creating opportunities for inclusion, wellbeing, and hope.
