It’s official: Royal Caribbean International has begun construction on its seventh Oasis Class ship, marking the start of a new era for one of the most iconic classes of cruise ships in the world.

The steel-cutting ceremony took place at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, where Royal Caribbean executives and shipyard representatives gathered to celebrate this milestone alongside naval engineers, architects, and design teams.

The yet-to-be-named ship will join the legendary Oasis Class fleet, which redefined modern cruising when Oasis of the Seas first set sail more than a decade ago. Since then, every addition — including the recently introduced Utopia of the Seas — has pushed the boundaries of imagination, innovation, and at-sea adventure.

“This is a seven-day-a-week celebration,” Royal Caribbean stated, highlighting that the seventh Oasis Class ship represents not only engineering excellence but also the brand’s unwavering commitment to innovation and guest experience.

Set to make its bold debut in 2028, the new Oasis Class ship will bring next-level thrills, relaxation, dining, entertainment, and surprises yet to be revealed — continuing the evolution of a class that has transformed the cruise industry worldwide.
