The second global TOURISE Summit will take place in Riyadh from March 23–25, 2027, bringing together leaders from tourism, technology, investment and government to address the next era of global travel.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia. Global tourism platform TOURISE has announced the second edition of its international Summit, scheduled to take place in Riyadh from March 23–25, 2027, under the theme “Alliances That Move the World.” The three-day event will bring together public- and private-sector leaders to explore the opportunities, challenges and partnerships expected to shape the next stage of global tourism.

The announcement was made by Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Tourism and Chairman of TOURISE, under the patronage of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The 2027 edition will focus on building connections between governments, businesses, investors and technology companies and turning those relationships into partnerships, investments and practical initiatives.

TOURISE says the agenda will extend well beyond traditional tourism discussions, bringing together tourism, technology, investment, sustainability, culture, mobility and government. Discussions are expected to address infrastructure, capital flows, emerging technologies, new business models, destination development and the changing way travelers move through and experience destinations.

First speakers and global industry leaders

The first confirmed participants include leaders from major international organizations such as Booking Holdings, Marriott, Hilton, Intrepid Travel and S4 Capital, alongside representatives connected to Wego, Switzerland Tourism and Technogym. Additional speakers are expected to be announced as preparations for the Summit continue.

Gloria Guevara, President and CEO of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), is also participating in the initiative and has emphasized the importance of collaboration across industries, capital and ideas to develop practical solutions for the future of travel.

Al-Khateeb has described the next stage of tourism as one that will depend on stronger alliances between the public and private sectors and on greater connections across markets and industries. The TOURISE model is designed to move discussions beyond the conference room and toward partnerships, investment opportunities and concrete action.

Building on the US$113 billion announced in 2025

TOURISE 2027 will build on the first TOURISE Summit, held in Riyadh in November 2025. During that inaugural event, the organization announced that it had catalyzed US$113 billion in investment portfolios across the global tourism ecosystem.

According to TOURISE and the Saudi Press Agency, those announced portfolios covered areas including next-generation hotel accommodation, integrated destinations, luxury retail, wellness, talent development and AI-powered platforms. The initiative presented the figure as evidence of the potential created by bringing together governments, investors, technology companies and tourism businesses.

The 2027 agenda continues that cross-sector approach. TOURISE's current program framework identifies questions around demand, access, capital, destination competitiveness and the impact of technology on the way people travel, experience and connect with destinations.

A year-round global platform

TOURISE operates beyond its annual Summit as a year-round platform featuring research, initiatives, forums and industry engagement designed to connect governments, businesses, investors, destinations and technology companies.

The 2027 Summit will feature three days of high-level sessions, conversations, networking and cross-sector engagement. The full program is still being developed, while the specific venue in Riyadh has yet to be announced.

The platform is also preparing the second edition of the TOURISE Awards, which will recognize destinations and tourism experiences across areas including food and culinary, arts and culture, adventure, shopping and entertainment.

With “Alliances That Move the World” as its central theme, TOURISE 2027 will place collaboration at the center of its global tourism agenda, bringing together different sectors and markets to examine how partnerships, technology and investment can shape the next 50 years of travel.
