Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort Strengthens Its Growth in the Latin American Market at CTM 2026
During Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2026, Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort Managing Director Crescenzia Biemans highlighted the accelerating growth of the Latin American market in the Caribbean, positioning it as one of the most dynamic source regions for tourism expansion, with Argentina standing out as a leading contributor.
The executive noted that Latin America has become the fastest-growing inbound region for the Caribbean, aligning with broader industry data presented by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association, which emphasized the region’s rising strategic importance in visitor flows and market diversification.
Within Aruba, Biemans explained that Argentine travelers have become the second most important source market for the island. She also underscored the resort’s sustained promotional efforts in Latin America through participation in trade fairs such as FIT and targeted engagement in markets including Uruguay and Paraguay, which have delivered positive results in recent periods.
Regarding performance, she highlighted the international positioning of Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort as one of the most awarded properties in the Caribbean and ranked among the top five resorts globally in its category. The property is also advancing toward Net Zero certification for Scope 1 and 2 emissions, reinforcing its leadership in sustainable luxury hospitality.
On the culinary front, Biemans emphasized the resort’s signature dining offering, including the Elements restaurant and the addition of Terra, led by Michelin-starred chef Jeremy Ford, which has significantly elevated the resort’s international profile and generated high demand among global travelers.
In the sustainability and institutional context, she referred to a recent visit by King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, who participated in conservation-related activities in Aruba focused on protecting endemic species. The visit underscored the island’s environmental priorities and the close link between tourism and conservation efforts.
She also noted that Aruba remains free of sargassum, a competitive advantage compared to other Caribbean destinations, reinforcing its appeal as a stable year-round destination with strong climate conditions, gastronomy, and visitor experiences.
Finally, Biemans stressed Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort’s positioning outside the traditional all-inclusive model, promoting instead a regenerative tourism approach. Guests are encouraged to engage with the local community through dining in local restaurants, beach cleanups, reforestation activities, and animal adoption programs, fostering a deeper connection with the island and contributing directly to the local economy.
