Madrid / Orlando. – Iberia has launched its new direct route between Madrid and Orlando, becoming the only airline connecting Spain to this city without stopovers. The inaugural flight departed at 11:30 a.m. from Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport and landed in Orlando at 4:45 p.m. local time, carrying 272 passengers.

The connection will operate four times a week —Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday— offering more than 46,000 seats this winter season. Flights are operated with Airbus A330 aircraft, accommodating 292 passengers in Business, Premium Economy, and Economy classes.

Orlando is one of the world’s most iconic tourist destinations, home to Walt Disney World with its four theme parks, new attractions such as TRON Lightcycle/Run and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge®, and a growing MICE infrastructure for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions.

Beatriz Guillén, Iberia’s Customer Director, highlighted that “this new route strengthens our strategy in the United States, expanding connectivity and reinforcing Madrid as a key gateway between Europe and America.” Tiago Santos, General Manager of Disney Destinations for Spain and Portugal, added that the flight simplifies the travel experience for Spanish visitors heading directly to Walt Disney World Resort.

With Orlando, Iberia now serves ten U.S. destinations, including New York, Miami, Boston, Chicago, Dallas Fort Worth, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Puerto Rico, and San Francisco, offering strong connectivity for both leisure and business travelers.
