The British driver delivered a masterclass performance on the streets of Marina Bay, securing a dominant victory from start to finish. Franco Colapinto, meanwhile, climbed three positions at the start but an early pit stop strategy left him struggling in the final laps, finishing 16th in his Alpine.

Max Verstappen held on to second place, reducing the gap in the championship standings, while Lando Norris finished third and Oscar Piastri came home fourth. These results allowed McLaren to seal the Constructors’ Championship with six races still to go. The team, which had ended a 26-year title drought in 2024, repeated its triumph in 2025.

Colapinto’s start was remarkable—he dived down the inside line, as he did in 2024, moving up from 16th to 13th. After staying close to Liam Lawson, the Argentine pitted early on lap 15 to switch from soft to medium tires. Although he managed to close the gap on his rivals, the long stint on the yellow compounds proved costly in the closing stages.

In the final laps, with his Alpine sliding through nearly every corner, Colapinto fought hard to defend his position but ultimately lost ground, dropping to 16th place. His teammate Pierre Gasly finished at the back of the field.
