Saint-Martin makes a strong showing at the Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2025
Saint-Martin is making its presence felt at the 43rd edition of the Caribbean Travel Marketplace, the region’s most important tourism event, held from May 18 to 22 in Antigua. The destination is positioning itself as a key player in the Caribbean with a delegation led by Grégoire Dumel and Justice Vlaun, representing the Saint-Martin Tourism Office.
Saint-Martin's participation in this international event not only aims to strengthen business relationships and promote the island's attractions, but also to explore new strategic alliances that foster more sustainable, diverse, and collaborative tourism.
A Showcase for the Best of the Island
In Antigua, the Saint-Martin delegation also includes key private sector players: the Club du Tourisme represented by Véronique Legris and the STB Hotels Association. They are presenting new properties and experiences tailored to the modern traveler.
“We have new accommodations and activities that reflect the evolving tourism offerings of the island. These boutique-style properties offer authentic experiences in harmony with nature,” said Dumel. He also highlighted the growth of green and water-based tourism experiences: “It’s an invitation to discover Saint-Martin in a new way, through sustainable activities and direct contact with the natural environment.”
A Unique Destination Defined by Diversity
One of the key elements that sets Saint-Martin apart is its rich multicultural identity. “We are a diverse island: several languages are spoken here, people from different nationalities live together, and that is reflected in our identity—especially in our cuisine,” Dumel explained. “Saint-Martin is a culinary reference in the Caribbean, and we are proud to share this strength with the world.”
He also emphasized the importance of collaboration among Caribbean destinations: “We need to work together, not compete with each other. That is the only way we can build a stronger and more attractive Caribbean for global travelers.”
Inter-Island Cooperation as a Strategic Pillar
The Saint-Martin Tourism Office has launched an ambitious regional cooperation initiative aimed at strengthening ties with neighboring islands and building a more integrated tourism offering.
The first stage of this strategy included visits to Saint-Barthélemy and Guadeloupe, where joint working relationships were solidified. The plan will continue with Martinique and French Guiana, forming a collaborative network to share resources, optimize budgets, and design inter-island tourism products such as island-hopping experiences, press trips, and coordinated fam trips among partner destinations.
Saint-Martin is positioning itself as a forward-looking island, committed to innovation, sustainability, and Caribbean unity—values that shaped its presence at Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2025 and will continue to guide its tourism development.
