Visit Lauderdale wins Henry Award for “Never Lose Your Splash” TV campaign
Visit Lauderdale has received a prestigious Henry Award at VISIT FLORIDA’s 2026 Governor’s Conference on Tourism for its “Visit Lauderdale: Never Lose Your Splash” television advertising campaign, earning one of Florida tourism's top marketing honors.
The recognition was announced during VISIT FLORIDA’s annual Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism, held September 9–11 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach.
The Henry Award is the highest recognition presented within each category of VISIT FLORIDA’s Flagler Awards, which honor excellence in Florida tourism marketing and recognize organizations for the strategy, effectiveness and creative execution of their campaigns.
Visit Lauderdale’s award-winning television campaign, “Never Lose Your Splash,” is built around one of the defining elements of Greater Fort Lauderdale: water.
But the campaign goes beyond presenting water as scenery.
“Never Lose Your Splash” explores the idea that being near water can create joy, inspire human connection and help people reconnect with the spontaneous and carefree side of themselves.
Water at the center of Greater Fort Lauderdale's identity
The campaign was launched as Visit Lauderdale's new global brand platform at the end of 2025 and has become a central part of the destination's marketing strategy in 2026.
Greater Fort Lauderdale is home to 24 miles of beaches and more than 300 miles of navigable waterways, making water an essential part of both the region's landscape and visitor experience.
The destination's beaches, waterways, boating culture, waterfront dining and outdoor lifestyle are all reflected in the campaign's central message: travel can be an opportunity to reconnect with joy and rediscover experiences that make people feel most alive.
Visit Lauderdale describes “Never Lose Your Splash” as a celebration of the destination's vibrant energy, welcoming spirit and the emotional connection visitors can experience through water.
The campaign made its public debut during CNN's New Year's Eve programming, reaching a major national audience before expanding across broadcast, digital, social, out-of-home and experiential marketing platforms throughout 2026.
A major recognition for Visit Lauderdale
The latest Henry Award continues Visit Lauderdale's strong record at the Flagler Awards.
The destination marketing organization has received multiple Henry, Silver and Bronze recognitions in previous years for campaigns including “Welcome,” television advertising, print campaigns, mixed-media marketing and special events.
VISIT FLORIDA's Flagler Awards are among the most significant recognitions for destination marketing organizations, tourism businesses and agencies working across the state's highly competitive travel industry.
For Visit Lauderdale, the new recognition comes as the destination continues to expand its global tourism strategy and prepare to welcome the international travel industry for IPW 2026.
The “Never Lose Your Splash” campaign now adds a Henry Award to its growing profile, reinforcing the role of water, emotion and authentic experiences at the heart of Greater Fort Lauderdale's destination identity.
As Florida's tourism industry continues to compete for travelers from across the United States and international markets, the award highlights the impact of a campaign designed not simply to show a destination, but to communicate how visitors can feel when they experience it.
