Excitement reverberates through Walt Disney World Resort as Victoria & Albert's restaurant clinches the company's inaugural MICHELIN Star, a testament to its exceptional culinary prowess.

Located at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Victoria & Albert's sets a new standard for fine dining within the realm of Disney magic. Led by the accomplished Chef Matthew Sowers, the restaurant has captured the hearts and palates of visitors for over two decades with its exquisite dishes crafted from premium ingredients sourced from around the globe.

The announcement of the MICHELIN Star comes as a historic milestone for Disney, marking the first time a Disney-owned establishment has been bestowed with such a prestigious accolade. Chef Sowers, whose culinary journey includes mentorship under James Beard "Best Chef in the South" nominee Chef Scott Hunne, stands at the helm of this culinary triumph.

Joining Chef Sowers in the limelight is Maître d’Hôtel Israel Pérez, honored with the 2024 Florida Service Award for his unwavering dedication to exemplary service over his tenure at the resort.

The recognition from the MICHELIN Guide underscores the culinary excellence upheld at Victoria & Albert's, where each dish is a symphony of flavors meticulously curated to delight the senses. The restaurant's extensive wine selection, boasting over 500 options, further enhances the dining experience, guided by a team of expert sommeliers.

Chef Matthew expressed his gratitude, stating, "It is an incredible honor to be recognized by Michelin for the innovative dining experience our team brings to life here at Victoria & Albert's." He attributes the achievement to the collective efforts of the entire team, from stewards to pastry chefs, all dedicated to culinary excellence.

As the ceremony celebrated the outstanding service of Israel Pérez, the spotlight also shone on the pastry prowess of Ally Rogers, who leads the resort's pastry team, adding a sweet and memorable touch to the gastronomic journey.

Victoria & Albert's, in addition to being the first theme park-owned restaurant in the United States to receive a Michelin Star, boasts other prestigious accolades, including the AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Travel Guide Five Star awards. With this latest distinction, the restaurant continues to raise the bar of excellence in the hospitality and culinary industry, solidifying its status as a premier dining destination in Florida and beyond.
