An unforgettable journey thanks to the exceptional service of the staff, especially Manager Ferran Brufau
My recent trip to Saudi Arabia to cover World Tourism Day in Riyadh turned into an unforgettable experience, not only due to the significance of the event but also thanks to the hospitality and exceptional service I received at the Radisson Blu Diplomatic Quarter.
From the moment we arrived at the hotel, I was impressed by its luxury and comfort. The rooms, aside from being elegant, were equipped with amazing amenities, such as a washing machine, which made my stay even more enjoyable.
However, on the third day of my stay, I faced an unexpected challenge. I developed an allergic reaction on my face that caused hives and itching, hindering my ability to work and conduct interviews. In my distress, I reached out to the event organizers, Alberto and Dalia, who understood the seriousness of the situation and advised me to seek medical attention immediately.
Enter Ferran Brufau, the manager of the Radisson Blu Diplomatic Quarter hotel, into this story. Upon seeing my condition, Ferran kindly offered to take me to the hospital, acting as an intermediary between the doctors and me. Since Saudi Arabia was an unfamiliar place to me, and my command of English was far from perfect, his assistance was crucial.
We arrived at the Riyadh hospital, where Ferran communicated with the emergency doctor and explained my situation. My face was red and covered in hives, and I needed urgent medical attention. The medical staff responded promptly, setting up a VIP emergency room for me, with two doctors, three nurses, and Ferran as an interpreter. They wasted no time and administered corticosteroids, paracetamol, and other medications to alleviate my symptoms.
The care I received at the hospital was exceptional. After about an hour and a half, they asked if I wished to consult a dermatologist to ensure the medication was appropriate. The dermatologist approached and addressed all my concerns, providing valuable information about my condition.
At the hospital, they also created a comprehensive medical record that documented the entire process of my care. Furthermore, I was able to purchase the prescribed medications directly at the hospital, facilitating my recovery.
After approximately three hours at the hospital, Ferran took me back to the hotel, where a vehicle awaited to take me to the event I was supposed to attend. His attention and concern didn't end at the hospital but continued until I made sure I was back on the right track.
In summary, my experience at the Radisson Blu Diplomatic Quarter in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was unforgettable not only for the quality of the hotel and its luxurious facilities but also for the human touch and unwavering assistance of Ferran Brufau, the hotel manager, and his team. I highly recommend this hotel to any traveler seeking an exceptional stay in Riyadh. You'll not only find luxury and comfort but also service that goes beyond expectations, as I experienced firsthand.
