“Together We Are the Caribbean” Invites Travelers to Discover the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico in One Trip
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. – The Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic and Discover Puerto Rico are presenting “Together We Are the Caribbean,” a multi-destination campaign inviting international travelers and tourism industry partners to discover the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico in a single trip, taking advantage of the geographical proximity and air connectivity between the two destinations.
With an offering that combines idyllic beaches, cultural richness, gastronomy, nature, adventure, and extensive hotel infrastructure, both destinations provide complementary experiences. Thanks to their geographical proximity and convenient air connections, including direct flights of approximately one hour between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, travelers can move from one destination to the other quickly and easily, expanding their opportunities to enjoy the Caribbean during the same vacation.
This connectivity is strengthened by airline operations such as Arajet, JetBlue, and Frontier Airlines, which facilitate travel from San Juan to Dominican destinations such as Santo Domingo and Punta Cana, while JetBlue also offers direct connections to Santiago de los Caballeros. These options allow visitors to plan more flexible itineraries and take advantage of the diverse experiences the Dominican Republic has to offer.
In this way, visitors to Puerto Rico have the opportunity to complement their experience with a stay in the Dominican Republic, discovering its beaches, renowned hospitality, gastronomy, cultural heritage, and extensive tourism offerings, including nature, adventure, history, and entertainment.
Under the concept “Together We Are the Caribbean,” the campaign highlights the cultural and historical ties that connect both destinations, promoting a complementary tourism offering that allows travelers to enjoy the best of the region.
As part of the initiative, combined travel packages featuring stays in both destinations are also being promoted, making it easier to plan multi-destination itineraries and creating new opportunities for the tourism industry.
