More than 104,000 people visited the International Tourism Fair in the Buenos Aires City
In a total area of 34,625 m2, the most important Tourism Fair in the region brought together 1,784 exhibitors. Between Saturday and Sunday, days open to the general public, the 26th edition of FIT attracted 81,243 visitors (even surpassing the record edition of 2019).
The figures were released by the president of the FIT 2022, Gustavo Hani, who is also in charge of the Argentine Chamber of Tourism (CAT), accompanied by the head of that portfolio, Matías Lammens.
Enrique Pepino, president of Ferias Argentinas, in charge of the integral realization of the FIT-AL, also participated; Sebastián Giobellina, who chairs the Federal Tourism Council, and the Secretary for Tourism Promotion, Yanina Martínez.
Until Monday afternoon, more than 23,000 tourism professionals participated in the event, so it is expected to exceed – also in this aspect – the pre-pandemic call.
The 24 Argentine provinces, the 51 participating countries and the different exhibitors gathered in a day full of commercial opportunities, innovation and new businesses.
Among the outstanding events of the day, the FIT Visit Argentina Connect business rounds began, which, with a renewed format in an exclusive space, brought together 120 national and international tour operators who received tourism service providers from Argentina. This year the rounds will exceed 3,900 business appointments.
In the FIT TECH space, on the first day of the Travel Forum Latam, talks and training sessions were held for the industry on innovation, technology, sustainability and investments and various global and local tourism problems.
