Supporters of Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin defend her right to party after video leak
Leaked video of the country's youngest leader, 36, dancing and drinking with friends caused criticism
Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin is facing heavy criticism after she was seen partying in a leaked video, as her supporters defend her.
In the pictures, believed to have been taken from social media, she and her friends, including Finnish celebrities, are seen dancing and singing.
He has faced criticism from opposition parties, with one leader demanding that he take a drug test.
Marin, 36, denied using drugs, saying he only drank alcohol and only partyed "in a boisterous way".
Previously the world's youngest head of government, a title now held by Chilean President Gabriel Boric, Ms. Marin makes no secret of her parties and has often been photographed at music festivals.
Last year he apologized for going to nightclubs after coming into close contact with a covid-19 case.
Last week, the German news agency Bild dubbed Ms. Marin the "coolest prime minister in the world".
"I danced and sang and partied, perfectly legal stuff. And I've never been in a situation where I've seen or heard of others [using drugs]," he added.
