Mann Ki Baat: PM Modi said that the Hastinapur Foundation has also published more than 100 Vedic and philosophical texts in the Spanish language.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that India's culture is very much liked in Argentina while addressing the first episode of this year's 'Mann Ki Baat.'
In his address, the Prime Minister mentioned the contributions of the Hastinapur Foundation in Argentina.
Friends,
The varied hues of India’s culture and its spiritual power have always attracted people from the world over. If I tell you that Indian culture is very popular in USA; Canada, Dubai, Singapore, Western Europe and Japan, you will find it normal; you will not be surprised. But if I tell you that Indian culture has a great following in Latin America and South America, then it will certainly make you think twice, be it promoting Khadi in Mexico, or attempts at popularizing Indian traditions in Brazil. We have already discussed these topics in Mann Ki Baat

[Today I want to tell you about the glory of Indian culture that is flying high in Argentina. Our culture is much loved in Argentina. During my visit to Argentina in 2018, I had participated in the “Yoga for peace” programme. There is an institution called “Hastinapur Foundation” in Argentina. You must be surprised to hear that there is a Hastinapur Foundation in Argentina. This institution promotes Indian Vedic traditions in Argentina. It was set up by Madam Prof. Ada Albrecht 40 years ago. Prof. Ada Albrecht will turn 90 soon.

The story of how her attachment with India grew is also very interesting. When she was 18 years old, she was introduced to the power of Indian culture for the first time. She spent a long time in India: She studied the Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads. Today there are over 40,000 members of the Hastinapur Foundation, and across Argentina and Latin America there are nearly 30 branches. Hastinapur Foundation has published more that 100 Vedic and philosophical books in Spanish.

Their ashram is also mesmerizing. 12 temples have been built at the ashram with idols of several gods and goddesses. At the centre is a temple dedicated to Advaita meditation. Many such examples illustrate the heritage value of our culture, not just for us, but also for the world. People around the world want to learn about it, understand it and live it. Taking responsibility to make our heritage part of our lives,]
we should also try to promote it
