Julia Simpson, WTTC President & CEO said; “This global survey shows that international travel is back. As we kick off our Global Summit in Riyadh bringing together global travel leaders and governments from around the world, travellers are getting ready to explore the world again.
During the opening of the forum, Julia Simpson, president and CEO of the WTTC, endorsed the firm commitment of the sector to preserve the planet, its biodiversity and reduce climate change. The WTTC stressed that the governments of the region must work together to promote the development of infrastructure, air connectivity, improvement of skills and job training.
Speaking to an adoring crowd at the World Travel & Tourism Council summit here, former President Barack Obama told the travel industry it needs to make its case to world leaders about tourism's economic benefits.
“Travel & Tourism is truly the best partner for governments to generate economic growth, create jobs and reduce poverty”.
