In a significant move welcomed by the U.S. travel industry, Congress has allocated $50 million in funding aimed at mitigating the prolonged wait times for visitor visa interviews.
U.S. Travel Association President and CEO Geoff Freeman commended the Biden administration for its dedication to improving passenger rail connectivity, stating, "Our nation’s leaders have a responsibility to help travelers get from Point A to Point B—and rail has an important role to play in this effort. We applaud the Biden administration for its efforts to improve passenger rail connectivity and make travel within the U.S. more modern, seamless and efficient."
