The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association and Triptease have announced the second edition of the Direct Booking Summit (DBS) Caribbean, set to take place on May 15, 2026, at Sandals Grande Antigua. The event will follow the Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2026 and is expected to bring together hoteliers from across the region to address evolving distribution challenges.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition in 2025, the summit aims to equip industry professionals with practical, revenue-driven strategies to strengthen direct booking performance. “The summit has become an essential platform for Caribbean hoteliers to take greater ownership of the guest relationship and drive long-term profitability,” said Sanovnik Destang. The initiative comes at a time when hotels face rising distribution costs and increasing competition from third-party booking platforms.

The 2026 edition will focus on improving conversion rates, enhancing direct revenue streams, and reducing reliance on intermediaries. Key topics include AI-driven marketing, automation, pricing optimization, and distribution strategy. Attendees will also benefit from peer networking opportunities, sharing insights and best practices with regional operators navigating similar commercial challenges.

Registration is now open for both CHTA members and non-members, with organizers noting strong demand and limited capacity following last year’s success.
