    Nine-day long festival has begun today (September 26) and will continue till October 5. The Shardiya Navratri festival is dedicated to Goddess Durga and her nine avatars and today marks the first day of the festivity (Kalash or Ghatsthapna). The festival is celebrated with much fervor all across the country by Hindus.

    Monsoon mayhem wreaked havoc in Bengaluru as heavy rains left several areas submerged. The downpour led to flooding in several areas, thereby exposing the city infrastructure. Commuters were forced to wade in waters on the roads which were submerged due to the rains.
