United Parks & Resorts reinforces conservation model and surpasses 43,000 rescued animals
During IPW 2026 in Greater Fort Lauderdale, ABC MUNDIAL spoke with Diana Sosa, representative of United Parks & Resorts, who highlighted the company’s strategic focus on wildlife rescue and marine conservation, strengthening its positioning as a conservation-driven organization rather than a traditional theme park operator.
Sosa emphasized that the company is actively reshaping its public message to highlight the scope of its environmental work. “We are beginning to realize that we need to focus on what we truly do and do well. We are not just another theme park; we are a conservation company,” she stated.
The executive underscored a major milestone reached by the organization: more than 43,000 rescued animals, a figure that has become a central pillar of its institutional messaging and visitor engagement strategy.
“We are a conservation organization that also offers incredible attractions, but our core mission is animal rescue,” Sosa added, noting that each park visit is designed to include educational and environmental awareness experiences.
She also previewed upcoming developments within the company’s portfolio, including the future opening of “SeaQuest,” an immersive deep-sea experience designed to simulate a journey to the ocean depths.
In addition, she highlighted the expansion of new animal habitats, including dedicated spaces for hyenas and lions, as well as seasonal programming such as summer events across the group’s water parks.
Finally, Sosa explained that the company is evolving its communication strategy to position itself not only as an entertainment operator, but as a global conservation organization integrating education, animal rescue, and immersive experiences across its destinations.
