San Pedro Sula, Honduras – At the Central America Travel Market (CATM 2025), El Salvador showcased its tourism offerings as an emerging destination that combines adventure, sun and beach, culture, and gastronomy, supported by modern infrastructure and regional and international connectivity.

Karla de León, Promotion and Advertising Coordinator at the Salvadoran Tourism Corporation, highlighted the wide range of experiences the country offers:

“El Salvador can offer many experiences in a single day: in the morning you can be in the mountains, then visit a volcano, enjoy the beach, and explore the historic downtown safely. All of this, combined with our hospitality, makes the country a very attractive destination,” she said.

De León emphasized that El Salvador has become a strategic hub for international travelers from Europe, the United States, Latin America, and even India, who often use the region as a multi-destination experience:

“Europeans and North Americans usually visit 2 to 3 countries on average in Central America. Our region offers diverse cultural experiences and unique differentiators in each country.”

Among El Salvador’s most notable products, the coordinator mentioned surf tourism, with 200 km of warm-water beaches, volcanic experiences, anthropological and cultural tourism, as well as international events that enhance the country’s visibility.

She also highlighted safety as a key differentiator:

“Today, El Salvador is a country that can be visited at any time, day or night, with complete peace of mind. Combined with infrastructure and tourism quality, travelers enjoy the best possible experience.”

El Salvador thus reaffirms its commitment to promoting Central America as a multi-destination region, offering routes that combine beaches, volcanoes, culture, and adventure, with excellent air and land connectivity.

“Central America and El Salvador await you,” concluded Karla de León.
