IPW 2025: Carlisle Williams Shares Details of the Renovated Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort
At the vibrant Visit Lauderdale booth during IPW 2025 in Chicago, we had the pleasure of interviewing Carlisle Williams, Co‑Director of Sales at Schulte Hospitality Group, representing the newly renovated Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa. Williams enthusiastically shared updates about the hotel's transformation and their high expectations for IPW 2026, which will take place in Fort Lauderdale.
With a $35 million investment, the resort recently completed a comprehensive renovation including 220 oceanfront rooms, with direct beach access — no streets separating guests from the sand. The property now boasts three F&B outlets, a variety of family-friendly activities, and a walkable location close to restaurants and Fort Lauderdale’s well-known water taxi service.
Carlisle highlighted that most rooms are interconnecting, making it an ideal option for families and group travelers. Just two miles from the resort, the brand-new Topgolf and nearby casino add exciting entertainment options for guests.
“We look forward to welcoming more visitors to Pompano Beach and showcasing what the Fort Lauderdale region has to offer, especially with IPW 2026 on the horizon,” said Williams, anticipating the boost the event will bring in May.
With its prime beachfront location, upgraded facilities, and a well-rounded mix of leisure and dining, the Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa is poised to be one of Fort Lauderdale’s top accommodation choices ahead of the United States' leading travel trade show.
