Lima, Peru – In just a few days, from October 17 to 20, Lima will become the epicenter of Peru's tourism promotion with the Peru Travel Mart 2024 (PTM), an annual event that brings together key players in the tourism sector. Organized by the National Chamber of Tourism (Canatur) and the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (Promperú), PTM is expected to generate over $18 million in sales of tourism products and services during its celebration.

With the participation of more than 160 international buyers from 28 countries, including nations such as France, Germany, Spain, Canada, South Korea, and Brazil, PTM offers a unique platform for tour operators and key industry figures to establish connections and collaborate to increase the visibility of Peruvian tourist destinations in global markets.

"This is a unique opportunity for national tourism companies, such as tour operators, hotels, and airlines, to showcase their tourism products directly to over 160 international buyers," said Maritza Montero, president of Peru Travel Mart 2024. Montero emphasized the importance of this event not only for the sector but also for the country's economy, highlighting Peru's great potential as a tourist destination.

A Space of Opportunities The event will not only focus on pre-scheduled appointments between buyers and exhibitors but will also include networking activities and training sessions. This will help strengthen business relationships and create a favorable environment for generating new business.

"Peru has a wide range of segments and attributes that make it an unparalleled destination: the richness and diversity of its gastronomy, culture, adventure, and nature," added Montero. With these words, high expectations are set among attendees, who will have the opportunity to discover and promote the diverse experiences that Peru has to offer.

This year, Peru Travel Mart will also focus on social responsibility, supporting sectors that most need tourism. Montero highlighted that new platforms and ways to promote destinations are being developed, along with innovations that will be presented during the event. "Our goal is to show travelers not only the attractions of Peru but also how we work together to improve the tourism sector," she stated.

With over 100 Peruvian vendors in attendance, PTM 2024 is consolidating its position as the most important tourism fair in Peru and potentially in all of South America. This event represents a great opportunity to strengthen collaboration between South American countries and promote the cultural and gastronomic diversity that the region has to offer.

The countdown to Peru Travel Mart 2024 has begun, and all eyes will be on Lima, where a significant impact on the promotion of one of the world's most marvelous destinations is expected. With the arrival of buyers from around the globe and the active participation of local operators, PTM promises to be a milestone in the international tourism agenda.
