Actor Uorfi Javed's Reply As BJP Leader Accuses Her Of "Nudity".
BJP's Chitra Kishor Wagh had criticised Uorfi Javed for her dressing sense and asked if the women's commission would do anything to it or not.
Mumbai Police summoned Bigg Boss fame Uorfi Javed on Saturday after the BJP leader accused her of “indulging in nudity publicly.”
Uorfi Javed told Mumbai Police that she liked to dress in a certain way and it was not a crime. The statement came after Mumbai Police had sent a notice to Bigg Boss fame on BJP leader and Maharashtra Mahila Morcha president Chitra Wagh’s complaints for “indulging in nudity publicly on the streets of Mumbai.”
The police asked her to appear for questioning at Amboli police station in Mumbai today (Saturday). The police commissioner had ordered an inquiry into the matter.
"I’m an independent person, I like to shoot and wear a certain dress. It’s not a crime in the constitution. When I step out for such shoots, paparazzi spot me, follow me, click the pictures and it goes viral. I don’t make it viral," Uorfi Javed told police officials.
The BJP leader, 10 days ago, criticized Uorfi Javed for her dressing sense on Twitter and asked if the women's commission would do anything to it or not.
On January 4, the BJP leader took to Twitter and slashed Uorfi Javed for her dressing sense and asked if the women's commission would do anything to it or not.
"Half-naked women walk openly on the streets. Why is the Women's Commission itself not taking notice of this? The protest is not against Uorfi but against the attitude of walking around openly in public places. And yes...the women's commission will do anything or not?" Wagh tweeted in Marathi.
