North American leaders discuss economy, drug gangs and migration at summit

In his speech, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador called for increased collaboration, and evoked the words of Bolívar, in pursuit of a United America. AMLO also highlighted the humanist aspect of their governments.
In his message, the president of the United States, Joe Biden, called for combating fentanyl trafficking.
US President Joe Biden and his Mexican counterpart aim to advance strengthening economic integration, fighting drug cartels and managing immigration, even as friction over Mexico's energy policies weigh on joint cooperation.
López Obrador accompanied Biden from the airport to his hotel and said the two issues raised would be discussed on Monday, including regional economic cooperation and migration.
“Integration must be strengthened,” López Obrador said at a press conference, saying he hoped to reach “good agreements” with Biden.
López Obrador received Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for the first summit between the three leaders since late 2021.
"I will meet with @POTUS biden, president @LopezObrador_ and business leaders to strengthen our economies, create good jobs, and build a better future for people across North America," Trudeau wrote on social media.
