According to Disney Parks Blog, the ride is still in the testing phase "for what will be one of the fastest coasters in any Disney park" . Disney released a new photo and revealed the storyline for the highly-anticipated TRON Lightcycle / Run coaster!
According to Disney Parks Blog, the ride is still in the testing phase "for what will be one of the fastest coasters in any Disney park" .
The new photo shows the Lightcycle vehicles speeding down the rails on a test run at night surrounded by neon blue lighting. The TRON coaster is currently under construction in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.
Testing is in progress for the illuminations on the canopy of TRON Lightcycle / Run meaning we can now see it lighting up. This can be seen in all its glory in the newly released photo by Disney above.

July 9 is the 40th anniversary of the 1982 film, TRON that first introduced us to the Grid. The Grid is the digital gaming world in which the original film, TRON and the sequel from 2010, TRON: Legacy are based. It is these films that have provided the inspiration for TRON Lightcycle / Run and to celebrate the 40th anniversary, Disney has let us in on some further details of this very long awaited attraction.
