Shah Rukh Khan thanked his fans for spreading love on his birthday in a special video message. The actor turned 55 today.

Shah Rukh Khan is perhaps India’s most-loved actor. Affectionately known as “SRK”, he has won a slew of awards, starred opposite A-list actresses, including Deepika Padukone, whose career he launched (Om Shanti Om, 2007), and owns a production house known for its expensive blockbusters.
Khan, who turns 55 on November 2, is also friends with Nita Ambani, wife of India’s wealthiest man, Mukesh Ambani, and co-owns the Indian Premier League cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders (he’s currently in the United Arab Emirates to cheer them on during the tournament).

But before the fame, before SRK became a brand, before he landed dozens of top brand endorsements and top billing in successful films – like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham , Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Chak De India – Khan was an ordinary middle class man from Delhi, who, unlike the star kids of Bollywood’s blue-blooded families, had to struggle to make it in Mumbai, the city that launches a million dreams every day.
From his harum-scarum school days in Delhi to starting out on the small screen in 1989, Khan has come a long way indeed. Read on to find out what his life was like before the world of showbiz changed it forever.

Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter on Monday (November 2) evening and shared a video message for his fans, thanking them for their birthday wishes. The actor turned 55 years old today and social media is full of wishes for him. SRK's fans showered the actor with love on his special day via Twitter and shared their artworks and heartfelt notes for the actor. Some went the extra mile and indulged in social work by donating PPE kits and blood in these trying times.

In the video message shared on Twitter, Shah Rukh Khan said, "Hi Everybody, this is to thank you for all the wonderful wishes I have been getting on social media and how much love you all have been spreading, especially SRK Universe, Team SRK FC, SRK Chennai FC, SRK Warriors, and SRK Fan association, maybe I am forgetting some names... but to all of you, you know who I mean, all of you together , all loving fans, all the boys and girls."

He added, "I know some of the work that you have been doing, giving your time and resources to people who are in need right now. The PPE Kits, the blood donations, going and helping people everywhere, that is the most wonderful work we can do because you can't be a loverboy like me, without spreading love. So thank you for spreading the love. Thank you for the birthday wishes, I love you all. Next year we'll all get together and have a bigger and better party."

Sharing the video message on Twitter, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, "Thank you all... hope to see you soon again. Stay safe... Love always (sic)."
