PM Modi said, “Those who cannot respect their own party workers, how can anyone expect them to respect the public? I am proud that no one is big or small in BJP, all our Karyakartas are equal. Every Karyakarta of Karnataka BJP is my companion, dear friend and brother.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive BJP rally in Karnataka’s Davanagere and reaffirmed the saffron party’s commitment to the development journey of the state. He expressed gratitude to the people for the spectacular welcome at the venue and highlighted double-engine government’s efforts to transform the lives of people of Karnataka.

“Every time I come to Davanagere, your affection towards me keeps on growing. This clearly indicates the mood of Karnataka,” he remarked mentioning BJP’s victories for the posts of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Kalaburagi Municipal Corporation, which is also the seat of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Congratulating the Party Karyakartas for the feat, PM Modi said that with the BJP’s win, the victory bugle had been sounded for the upcoming state elections.

Referring to a recent incident of a Congress party worker being slapped by former Karnataka chief minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah, PM Modi said, “Those who cannot respect their own party workers, how can anyone expect them to respect the public? I am proud that no one is big or small in BJP, all our Karyakartas are equal. Every Karyakarta of Karnataka BJP is my companion, dear friend and brother.”

Shedding light on how the various initiatives of the double-engine government have transformed the lives of people in Karnataka, PM Modi said that the BJP had converted ‘politics of perception’ into ‘politics of performance.’ He cited examples of the new metro line inauguration, Asia’s biggest airport manufacturing facility at Tumakuru, Shivamogga airport, longest railway platform in Karnataka, Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway, Narayanpur Left Bank Canal, permanent campus of IIT Dharwad and Jal Jeevan Mission.

The Prime Minister also spoke extensively about how PM-KISAN had proved to be gamechanger for the hardworking farmers of the state. Calling out the fallacies of previous Congress-JD(S) regime, PM Modi said, “In 2019, when the BJP government at the Centre started PM-KISAN scheme, then there was a Congress-JD(S) government here. After asking repeatedly, Congress-JD(S) sent only a few names of eligible farmers to the central government. As soon as the double engine government was given the opportunity to serve the state, it rectified the mistakes of Congress-JD(S) alliance. Today about 60 lakh farmers of Karnataka are getting the benefit of PM-KISAN Yojana. Till now, more than 1.5 lakh farmers of Davangere have also benefitted.”
